New Private Photo-Sharing for Couples and Their Wedding Guests from The Wedding Lens

The Wedding Lens announces new, private online wedding albums that allow couples and their wedding guests to share photos and videos in a single, secure location.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 28, 2010 -- With growing concerns regarding privacy over the internet, The Wedding Lens announces private online photo albums designed specifically for weddings. These albums allow only invited guests to upload and share photos and videos in a secure, controlled environment, away from the prying eyes of the public.

In the recent WeddingChannel.com Digital Wedding Guest Etiquette Poll (June 2009), 40% of brides said posting photos online without permission or even a heads-up was their biggest digital wedding gripe. The Wedding Lens has responded to their users’ concerns by introducing online privacy features.

“More couples are seeing their wedding photos posted in places like Facebook against their wishes,” says Jenny Fong, Marketing and Business Development Manager for TheWeddingLens.com. “Many of these couples want to see and collect the candid photos taken by their wedding guests, but they want to control who can view them as well. As a result, we’ve replaced our ad-supported public albums with private, online wedding albums.”

The new album options allow hosts (typically the couple getting married) to control access to their site by giving their guests an access code or inviting guests through direct e-mail invitations. Guests can then access the photo-sharing site without having to register for an account, and unwanted visitors will not be able to view the photos. Once on the site, every invited guest is able to view and upload photos and videos together.

“Compared to other photo-sharing sites, this method provides the best of both worlds – large groups can securely share wedding photos and memories as a community while allowing the couple to control who can view the photos,” added Fong.

The Wedding Lens’s albums range between $8 and $10 a month for a variety of options and term lengths. Users can register for a two-week free trial by visiting the site at theweddinglens.com.
